Pre-Employment Job Applicant Screening

MCC offers screening services with the purpose of connecting Milwaukee employers to reliable, qualified, work ready employees. Our screening services include:

• Verification of employment history
• Reference checks
• Background checks
• Driving record checks (upon request)
• Drug testing (upon request)
• Testing math and reading levels (if required).

Employment Options

Our Milwaukee employment agency offers different hiring options for employers:

• Temp employment
• Temp to hire employment arrangements giving employers the opportunity to evaluate potential employees before offering a long term position.
• Direct hire employment

MCC is a non-profit employment agency and therefore does not collect a fee from employers for permanent hires. Milwaukee Careers Cooperative is subsidized for direct job placement services by a grant from the City of Milwaukee, enabling MCC to provide this service.

Greater Milwaukee Jobsite Transportation

For Milwaukee worksites located outside the reach of the Milwaukee public transportation system, MCC offers affordable job transportation. The Wisconsin Employment Transportation Assistance Program is available to businesses within 45 miles of Milwaukee for an annual fee providing reliable employee transportation.
