Milwaukee Employment Staffing Services

Milwaukee Careers Cooperative is a non-profit employment agency in Milwaukee connecting employers with work-ready employees. MCC prescreens all job candidates and provides job training to economically disadvantaged individuals before linking them to new job opportunities throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. All Milwaukee Careers Cooperative job candidates have demonstrated motivation and ability to complete a pre-employment training program. We provide temporary job placement, temp-to-hire job placement (trial basis employment), and direct hire employment in the Greater Milwaukee area. MCC does not charge a fee for permanent job placement services, which are subsidized through a grant from the City of Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Employment Transportation

Milwaukee Careers Cooperative helps to arrange job transportation between Milwaukee residents and suburban employment locations without fixed route public transportation. This service is available through the Milwaukee Area JobRide Collaborative (MAJC) a service founded by MCC and several other agencies as part of the Wisconsin Employment Transportation Assistance Program (WETAP). The Wisconsin Employment Transportation Assistance Program provides reliable and affordable transportation to and from suburban plant sites within 45 miles of Milwaukee. Employers are direct partners with the Milwaukee Area JobRide Collaborative. Visit our Milwaukee Employment Transportation page to learn more.

Milwaukee Career Counseling & Training

Milwaukee Careers Cooperative provides job skills training to economically disadvantaged job seekers in order to connect them to new employment opportunities offering family sustaining wages, benefits, and an opportunity for upward mobility. Through our partnership with Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), Milwaukee Careers Cooperative offers GED preparation, computer skills training and employability testing to ensure job candidates meet specified levels of competency. Job seekers are placed into different Milwaukee employment opportunities based on job readiness, experience, and skills. MCC places potential employees into temp to hire positions allowing the employer to evaluate the individual during a trial period before offering a permanent position.
